Uncle John

What a treat to have an unexpected, if brief, visit from Uncle John. John is Flannery and Percy-Kate's godfather (Ruby's honorary godfather). He and Andy have been friends since their days at Sewanee. He lives in Atlanta with his lovely family, wife Allison and little Merrie Frances. For years Andy and I prayed that God would take us home to Dixie, specifically close to John and family. Seems God must have something else in mind...John's visit was for a job interview with a company in Nashua. We are thrilled by the prospect of having the Truslows within 15 miles of our zip code! or closer! Flannery and Percy-Kate claim their affection for Uncle John is influenced by his ability to juggle. I suspect they would like him all the same, even if he couldn't juggle. Ruby warmed right up to him as you see in the picture. She intuitively knows who she belongs to whether via biological relations or heart relations.
