Apple pickin'

Last Thursday, we met our home school friends at Gould Hill Orchards in Contoocook. The weather was perfect in every way. A perfect New England autumn day. Ruby experienced her first fresh-picked Cortland. She would not let it go. When it was time to leave, I took it from her and threw it down. She waddled right over to it, picked it up, and continued where she left off.

Gould Hill is my favorite place here in NH. The view never disappoints, nor do the apples. The girls love scaling the old stone wall and running between rows of trees. What a precious memory this is creating for them.
